Unwinding in Paradise Hotel Busan

Is there anything better than waking up to the sound of crashing waves?  On the last leg of our 2 week honeymoon in Japan & South Korea, Mark & I spent 4 days in Busan’s Paradise Hotel situated right on Haeundae Beach.  It was the perfect place to cap off an aggressive itinerary that included visits to Seoul, Tokyo and Kyoto.

I witnessed Korean beach life on our 15th floor ocean view balcony.  Paddle surfers made their way into the ocean while most people just took leisurely strolls on the sand.  One day, after an overwhelming trip to Shinsegae Cetrum City, listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest department store in the world (!), we hurried back to the hotel just to unwind at their outdoor hot spring as the sun began to set.  There is also an Ocean Pool Library for guests who want to read in the outdoor lounge by the pool – unfortunately it’s pay for use but I did love the decor.

Here are a few images in and around Paradise Hotel Busan.  If you do find yourself in South Korea’s second largest city, I would definitely recommend spending a few days at this hotel and try the bulgolgi on their room service menu.
