Scenes from Cambodia

For two weeks Cambodia was our hideout; away from the demands in the office, endless chores at home and the autumn chill that has set across London.  Of course I was excited to see the temples of Angkor and immerse in Cambodian culture but some R&R is what the doctor would order – if I had time to see one.  And so we set off on a two week journey that balanced treasured landmarks seeped with history – however bloody – and hours of lazing by the seaside.

No amount of research could have prepared me for the raw beauty of the country.  There’s a certain grace to Cambodia that’s hard for me to describe in words.  As I continue to sort through the photos from my trip over the next few weeks I’d like to share the 1st installment of photos that captures some of the essence of the country and its people.Siem-Reap-temples-Joanna-Yee-PhotographyCambodia-street-food-Joanna-Yee-Photography
