Sampling Rodells in Watford

When I received the invitation to stop by Rodells to take some photos and sample some grub I assumed I shouldn’t bring Mark, my pescetarian other half.  Rodells is a tapas-style restaurant located in Watford (just a 1 minute walk from Watford Junction station) that serves mostly tapas style dishes.  In our experience, tapas typically aren’t very vegetarian/pescetarian friendly meals.

Payday Lunch at Sushi Samba London

Dan, my friend & ex-colleague, and I meet up periodically in the City to catch up and lunch.  This past March we ventured to Sushi Samba London, a popular City of London restaurant that serves up a  fusion of Japanese, Peruvian and Brazilian dishes.  Despite the mixed reviews I was eager to sample my first taste of…

A tour of London’s ramen bars: Bone Daddies

Al fresco dining on a summer’s eve in London: Shrimpy’s

As the sun steadily dipped behind the derelict warehouses that are decorated with scaffolding, our party of four were sat across the canal at the old King’s Cross filling station currently occupied by a pop up restaurant called Shrimpy’s.  This wasn’t my first visit and it certainly won’t be my last. I have been raving…

Brunchin at Grain Store, Granary Square

In Granary Square, right next to what looks like a derelict warehouse you’ll find rejuvenated signs of life.  At least that’s what I had the pleasure of experiencing last Sunday as I made my way across the square.  As kids were running around flying a kite, we skirted around the dancing water fountains and wove…
